Marketing is process used to determine what products or services may be of interest to customers, and the strategy to use in sales, communications and business development.
Marketing is used to identify the customer, satisfy the customer, and keep the customer. As a practice, it consists in coordination of four elements called 4P’s:

My strong believe is , marketing is all about emotions!
Why do I say that, look around you? The mobile brand you use the laptop or iPods which you have bought. Why did you buy it? Because, you did feel connected. As if it is made for you. That’s the key, to sell. All, our work, is to get the product connected to the customer. Emotions can be of various kinds,
Being happy :- Just by doing a .net or a java course, we do make a customer dream that they can work for Microsoft and facebook. The joy of being established and work for a big organization!
Fear:- It is said, you should never ask a lady her age. So don’t ask, just tell her by using your XYZ product, she can look younger 😉 The age factor is & will definitely make her at least try your product once.
Concern: – makes the customer feel how concert are they about themselves, their families and their future. Once, they are concerned you can surely sell you insurance policies every year!
Love:- how much you love your loved one, Parents, siblings, friends etc , express it, buy gifting the XYZ product.
Pride:- This is what apple does, their ad campaign which said, if u don’t have an iphone, you don’t have an iphone. Making you feel superior from ours just by having a device. Hence, the craze for apple products and also they are the market leaders and have a larger percentage of loyal customers.
So, the bottom line says that, every product might have a brand positioning but it also should have an emotion attached to connect to its customers.
